Taipei 101 held the title of the tallest building in the world.
It is located in the city center of the capital of Taiwan, Taipei. Taipei
101 is the biggest tourist attraction in Taipei. Since earthquakes and
typhoons are common, Taipei 101 was a huge engineering feat along the the giant
mass damper (yellow ball pictured below). You can read about traveling to
Taipei and visiting the Taipei 101 skyscraper in the Tourism Picks Blog. All photographs on this page were taken by Mike Behnken. Feel free to use any of these photographs as a desktop background or wallpaper.
More about Taipei, the Photos of Taipei 101 and Video
All the photos were shot with Nikon D90digital
SLR and Nikkor 18-200mm VR lens.
It was very challenging to get even decent shots in the extremely wet, misty fog
and wind which blanketed Taipei at the time.
The video is an example of time lapse photography using a sequence of still
images taken over a 10 minute period to yield just 10 seconds of real time
video.
